‘Religion & Rationality’ debate ends with a White convert to Islam being called ‘liar’ by Prof. Pervez Hoodbhoy

A discussion on Religion and Rationality between Islamist convert Hamza Andreas Tzortzis and Physics professor and author, Pervez Hoodbhoy took place at Pakistan’s LUMS University on February 26, 2012.

Its worth a listen as it exhibits the tactics employed by Islamists to use White converts to validate their warped medieval ideas and the notion that western secular liberal democracy is failing its own White citizens.

Hamza-Tzortzis-Muslims-Give-Blood-CampaignThis further illustrates the power of White Privilege and how its working within the Islamist and jihadist movements. Mr. Tzortzis in a debate on religion and rationality rattled off with a diatribe that didn’t touch on either subject, but still got the ear of his audience who were charmed by his references to ‘chapli kebabs’ and ‘big bang’ after curry jokes.

Had he been a Pakistani like Prof Hoodbhoy, he would have been run out of town, but his Whiteness ensured he could speak and argue by sprinkling his speech with scientific terminology and names of scientists and Arabists that git aptly described by Hoodbhoy as pseudo-science.

Be patient and listen to the hogwash of one more White convert to Islam enchanting the natives.

Tell me Tarek, what exactly is so bad about Hamza Tzortzis’s arguments? He’s a Muslim and he’s arguing in favor of Islam, even quoting the Quran several times throughout the entire discussion.

He calmly and rationally explains the Islamic worldview, and how it differs from the Secularist-Atheistic Paradigm.

Hamza Tzortzis is as Orthodox of a Muslim as you could possibly get, so how can you oppose him?

I thought Hamza was fantastic. He was very courteous, very respectful, and very rational in his arguments.

      Jerry,

I believe Prof Hoodbhoy calling the White convert a “liar” and on the record, is the most befitting tribute to this charlatan from the UK.

Did you even watch the discussion? Hamza is the epitome of the ‘smiling Islamist’ who never loses his or her grin even as the knife gyrates across the throat of the infidel.

Unless you too are a recent convert to Islam or simply someone masquerading as a ‘Jerry’ , I cannot believe you could not see through the the radical under the clownish burqa.

Tarek, indeed I watched the entire discussion and I found nothing that Hamza said that was objectionable in the least. He sounded calm, rational, and he was very civil.

What exactly did Hamza say that was against Orthodox Islam? Hamza repeatedly quoted from the Quran, and he posed very legitimate arguments. He’s the epitome of the Orthodox Muslim.

I’m not a convert to Islam. However, my own brother converted to Islam a few years ago, and he’s the best man that I know. And I’m very sympathetic to the faith.

I found the discussion regarding the “linguistic miracle” of the Quran to be extremely interesting.

So the Quran is an extremely well-written book which uses unique Arabic prose/poetry, and is deeply laden with moral truths, wisdom, and universal values. The Quran, according to Hamza, demonstrates the deep Wisdom of God and his ability.

And Hamza is arguing that the Quran couldn’t possibly be authored by a human being, and he gives his reasons why.

White previlige is for all of us to see… It’s almost as if all the crew and host etc were Hamza’s stooge army!
And this urge to win petty arguments is nauseating. He said he’s ‘working class’, maybe that’s why the tendency to ensure that people are on your side, you’re winning, and you get the last word. Hoodbhoy is way too gracious and classy to be able to street-fight with this smirky, opinionated businessman, busy distributing his mail ID at the end. Ha!

Wow, scary. A guy at the end refers to science as a belief system.

Tzortzis reminds me of the Christian cult leaders I was forced to listen to as child.
Self righteous because he now believes he knows more than any scientist or scholar that ever lived.

Dismisses the hard work thousands of humans have given to understanding the universe. Forgets that many toiled their whole lives on wrong ideas, that we later benefitted from. He just doesn’t want to be wrong, but alas, is.

Hamza and his admirers Jerry and Rehman do not subscribe to logic or reasoning. What violent fundamentalist Christianity was 600 years ago Islam is today “with knobs on” That they admire an irrational book and feel that it is good for all time and all peoples shows a total absence of mind. And Mr Fatah pray enlighten us how is it possible to be moderate and accept completely and faithfully the words of the Quran?

Poor Hoodbhoy, It reminds me of bear and hounds fight typically conducted in our villages for pleasure, when a bear is beaten , chained, its nails plucked and several hounds are unleashed on it to mauled.
