Husna
India’s amazing Piyush Mishra performing at Coke Studio MTV India.
The song is a letter from one ‘Javed’ who was separated from his lover ‘Husna’ during the bloody Partition of India in 1947 that drew an artificial border dividing the Punjab, dividing millions and causing the slaughter of a million. Here Mishra wails about the powerlessness of love in face of politics. Enjoy.

An Ode to Baba Farid
Khwaja Farīduddīn Mas’ūd Ganjshakar was a Muslim missionary in Punjab who is equally revered by both Sikhs and Muslims. Also known as Baba Farid (1173–1266) the saint stands in sharp contrast to the radical Islam that has swept his birthplace. Here, the Pakistani communist band ‘Laal’ (Reds) sing an ode to the great poet of Punjab.

Good honest people have been seeking peace in chaos for centuries.May we all think and act in a way that some day the drunkenness/blindness caused by Religion, Language, Wealth, Nationality and Greed will disappear and we will be able to live in peace for the good of humankind as well as the rest of the living beings including plants on this planet.
Amen.

Thank you for being so awesome.
Dear Tarek,
I am a regular reader of your tweets. Great work and thanks for your sincere support for Baloch cause and exposing Islamists. I just want you to correct one error on the title of the songs posted on your site. “Danah Pah Danah” is not Balochi but a Brahvi song. Brahvi is the second most widely spoken language of Balochistan which is very different from Balochi.
