Jackie Long of Channel 4 News debates the niqab with a panel including writer writer Douglas Murray and broadcaster Yasmin Alibhai-Brown opposing the Islamic facemask while niqabis Shalina Litt, Sahar Al-Faifi and Khola Hasan defend the most offensive attire human beings have worn seen since we walked out of Africa.

What if all UK’s non-muslims male/female observe a week of “Niqab” and wear Niqab - will the administration wake up to this growing Islamist radicalization.

The human rights of hearing impaired people need to be taken into account here…seriously, i have family members who rely on being able to see the mouth of the person speaking because they have hearing impairment and rely on “lip reading”…this is an affront to the human dignity of those with hearing impairment…their right to hear…and, in fact, i find it difficult to understand these veiled women because it sounds muffled…which is exactly what it is, muffled. And, furthermore, why is there not an “ethnic” British person included in the panel? As in, from Soho, since the year 1000 A.D. (that’s “Anno Domini” not “Common Era”!). I suspect that the truly relevant question to ask is this: Should British women have the right to refuse to wear the veil?

Those attending to the care of patients should *not* be permitted to wear any type of face covering other than a proper and disposable mask to ensure that the spread of infection is minimized. One can only imagine the spread of superbugs (and even the treatable variety) that may be opportunistically transported from patient to patient by way of such coverings…. i hope that hospital and long term care facility operators have the where-with-all to create and / or enforce such policies to prohibit non-medical face coverings, notwithstanding that certain groups may take “great offense” to such policies and may label same as xenophobic, racist, or other such nonsense….. On a different tack….if I were a bank robber or shoplifter, I know what disguise I would wear….one that no one would dare ask me to take off lest they ‘offend’ me in the process…..i can see it now: would-be robber lodges complaint with the ‘human rights’ tribunal…..
